Compressed laminated wood
Owing to its special material properties, compressed laminated wood is used primarily in the transformer industry and as a means of thermal insulation in machines and electrical systems.
Compressed laminated wood is mde of layers of wood veneer that are coated or impregnated with a synthetic resin and then pressed together under high pressure and temperature.
- Excellent electrical and thermal insulation
- Excellent oil absorption
- High mechanical strength (especially bending strength)
- Transformer construction
- Thermal insulation in machinery- and systems construction
